Shepherd’s Pie

My husband and I love this variation of the traditional Shepherd’s Pie made with lamb. I like lamb, he doesn’t, so I use ground beef instead.
What you’ll need
- 1 1/2 lbs ground chuck or lean hamburger
- 1 medium-size sweet onion, chopped
- 1-2 C frozen peas and carrots
- 3-4 medium Idaho potatoes (or russets), peeled and quartered
- 1 stick butter, divided
- 1/2 C beef broth or stock
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
