Beefed Up Biscuit Casserole

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 c chopped onion or 2T instant onion
- 1/4 c diced green pepper
- 2 t chili powder
- 1/2 t garlic salt
- 1 eight-ounce can country style biscuits
- 1 1/2 c shredded cheese
- 1/2 c sour cream
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
in a frying pan, brown meat, onion and pepper; drain. stir in sauce, chili powder and garlic. simmer while preparing dough. separate dough into 10 biscuits. press half over bottom of ungreased 9″ square baking pan. in a separate bowl, combine 1/2 c cheese, sour cream and egg; mix well. remove meat mixture from heat. stir in sour cream mixture. spoon over dough. arrange remaining dough on top. sprinkle with remaining cheese. bake at 375 for 25-30 min.
- note: I also add one can Ro-Tel to the m eat mixture for added flavor.
